I went to try a couple of things last night, but strangely, the stutter was gone most of the time. Showed up maybe 1 out of 10 times. Nothing has changed since the night before, when it was having the problem about half the time. I agree with the comment that the problem is not that big of a deal. But it is just about the only thing that isn't working really well with my setup, so it stands out. If the developers are working on a solution that would delay the start a couple of extra seconds for 24/96 files, I will wait for that. If it starts happening more often again, I will probably do some of the experiments suggested.
