RG is ALWAYS applied in the player, not at the server - that is why it
is a "player" setting and how you can have synced devices playing the
same stream, with one applying RG and one not... :-)

As mnyb says, RG overrides any volume/fix volume settings.

RG is handled completely independantly of (and after) transcoding
