Hi, I have exactly the same problem: running tinySBS with an USB attached drive, sometimes songs skip to the next track 30-40 seconds before they ends. I noticed that when the problem arise it is costant: from that moment any songs skips! To "solve" the problem I disconnect the USB disk (using the discconnect command before!) and reconnect the drive. Then wait until the scenning for new tracks is completed and no other operation is in progress. This way the problem disappears.
It apperas again usually every 3-5 weeks (no more!) and often after new tracks are added, deleted or modified on the disk and listening is started during the rescan process (you should be able to do this but.... ).
