I really do not see any phenomenon, and certainly do not see anything impressive.  The Bible tells us that in the last days there will be a great falling away, so it is no surprise that great numbers are abandoning the faith for false teachings.  The surprise would be if this did not happen after God said that it would.

DAVEH:  I think the Protestants claim much less than that, Blaine.  SINCE the 1500s might be more appropriate.
