If someone writes the scripts to manage such server.
We can buy a new ip to put it on plato.

It will need:

   - start/stop
   - update sources/database, add new modules etc.
   - export translations (optional)

I'm going to take a shot at this.

Thank you. It's really great to see people taking those kind of
infrastructure problems into their hands.

Any objections to using Pryamid for the UI?

I don't understand why you want to use a web ui.
I think the goal is to create a tryton server that can be used by the
translating teams to translate tryton modules inside tryton.

So what is needed is a script can:

    - start / stop a tryton server
    - update (hg nupdate) the trytond sources
    - export the .po files

What OS/distro will be at the host?

I guess it's a gentoo.

I would like to put in place something functionally similar to the
translations status page for MythTV[1] eventually. Any thoughts on this?

Once the script runs, having some kind of statistics would be a nice
addition.
