I think FM is great - you get good sound, it's free, and the technology costs close to nothing. I don't know about these other frequencies, but I doubt they're stereo (maybe they're like ham radio... you have to pay for a licence... 'course, that sound more like proprietary software to me).

alright, shutting up now

That is precisely what Henning was doing in his last respose to me. The
ad-hominem fallacy was very much inevidence. These "arguments" like I'm
such a disagreeable person, so nobody will be interested in FM. Of
course, that's an ad-hominem argument. Unashamedly ad-hominem!
whatever history henning and you might share, on this list, the message

[EMAIL PROTECTED]/msg12447.html
is the first in the thread that contains dismissive comments about personality and skills of another person. and you are the author of that mail.

I never questioned the technical skills of Henning P. Schmiedehausen. I simply responded sarcastically to his statement that it had taken him "ages" to realize that FM and WM were not supported on an equal footing with Vel.

I still don't know how to process that.

you started it, he shot back.
if this is not correct, and the message indicated above was not the first agressive email on this list, i apologize for accusing you of starting this.

My interchange with Henning on this topic began on the velocity-devel list.

and just for the records: i think i have a tiny little bit of understanding of valid and invalid forms of arguments.

<sigh>

Yes, I know that you think you do.
