The easy_install will work without it, but it gives some ugly looking errors. I'll get rid of the need tomorrow night. Pretty sure I just need to switch to some RewriteMatch rules for Apache to make it something I'm happy with.
I just think people should be able to use http://tg.gy/214 as a substitute for http://www.turbogears.org/2.1/downloads/2.1.4/ personally, so am trying to make it work in the general case. It might not be used that way, but I really like the idea.
