So - I have tried to fix my this problem, but I am having real
difficulties.

I have booted Boot-Repair from USB, but I have to set the BIOS to Legacy mode.
EFI mode shoes the GRUB, and boot repair is an option but it does not boot at
all.

When I booted Boot-Repair (in Legacy) I am get all kinds of error
messages (It needs to connect to the Internet, I am in Legacy mode etc).

So I downloaded 13.10 and made a LiveUSB - Was able to boot in UEFI mode and
did what was discribed in post #60.
However, at the end the boot-repair said that I had experienced some sort of
error without specifying - it was logged to http://paste.ubuntu.com/7292867.
Tried to reboot - no go. In UEFI mode, Sony's "Automatic Repair Tool" start,
and in Legacy "Operating System not found"

I had similar problems with I first installed Ubuntu as I wanted to keep
the Windows 8 Recovery Partitions just in case i did not like Ubuntu -
That time the Boor-Repair fixed the issue.

.. I am also a bit curious why this has not been taken more "seriosly".
It seems that the Ubuntu officials are not regonizing this bug.

Any other options I should try?
