Great - thanks bullet. Think I will just stick with the 160GB 2.5" drive for now and partition off 20GB for the OS. That leaves me 140GB for data storage. My music collection is currently 40GB and I have about 10GB in photos I will move over so there is plenty of head room in there. Once that fills up I can either upgrade to a bigger 2.5" or add an extra 3.5" (much cheaper).
I will definitely format using ext3 as it seems this is the most popular and supported.
