I have 10.2 running on a G4/350 Sonnet Crescendo-aided 9600, with only
216Mb; performance isn't anything to write home about, but it runs and
I haven't had a single crash in weeks. I should mention I used Sonnet X
Enabler, rather than XPostFacto.

I'll second the bit about monitor resolutions... i have a 17" CRT
Studio Display and 15" Ipex monitor hooked up to an ATI Rage128 and
TwinTurbo 128 cards.... I can select 640x480 resolution for both
monitors if I uncheck "Show modes recommended by display" in the
Display Preferences window.

I would imagine a 14" monitor could handle at least 800x600 res, unless
it's a really old fixed res monitor. X would look terrible below
1024x768, especially at that chunky dock size default. I have however
seen an upgraded SE/30 running X on a hacked 1-bit 9" monitor at
640x480 (when I mean upgraded, i mean an iMac's guts were jammed in
there, and a well documented Analog board hack bumped screen res from
512x384 to 640x480).

I think the best thing to do would be to spend 10 bones on XPostFacto
support - doing the Unsupported X thing isn't always easy and I made
the $30 investment in SOSXE worthwhile within 24 hours of with a heap
of tech support requests. ;-) don't underestimate the value of having
someone to complain too!

Good luck!

Ben.
