The ONLY problems I had with my 8500/Sonnet G3/400 where when I stuck in some extra RAM I pulled from another 7500-based Mac. I then experienced about 8 KP's over the course of a couple of days when I realised I'd have to dissemble the 8500 again (major yawn, as any 8500 owner will testify.)
I think it's fairly likely I'm still running a mixture of FPM and EDO DIMM's (which is probably a major no-no) and I wondered if there's an easy way to identify which is which, so that next time I pull apart the 8500 to add more RAM, I can make sure I only have one kind of RAM. I understand that EDO is the better choice.
