It's not that the ROM doesn't have the resources necessary to run 9.2 
or 10 (because it does), Its just that Apple made it so that the OS's 
would not work on these models by checking either the Gestalt ID or by 
doing some other Apple magic to make sure that it wouldn't work on 
older Macs but, as we all know, software can fix software ;-).
