I've done the battery pull/unplug overnight thing a couple times. No change. Remembers and boots into Jag.
Tried zapping the PRam a hundred times. Won't. For some reason it just freakin' won't. Ignores it and goes on.
Held the option key. Tries to boot from 9 for about 3-4 full minutes. Then reboots into X. I keep holding option when it reboots, and it just does it again.
I think my computer is possessed by Jaguar. Won't let go..... need an exorcist....
Any other suggestions.... please?
Sometimes the Mac OS X Installer will "de-bless" the Mac OS 9.x System Folder. In those cases, it usually works to reboot using the Startup Disk preference panel in the Mac OS X system preferences application (i.e. use it to choose to boot from 9.x). The Startup Disk panel knows how to "re-bless" the System Folder.
Anyway, it's worth a try--I haven't been following the whole thread, so I'm not sure if you've tried that.
