I have a beige G3 300 and I want to put a G4/800 in it. Does this mean that these upgrades are not really fully compatible then even though the manufacturer sells them as beige g3 compatible? Do I have to worry that it will run to hot unless I modify the system somehow?

I'm running Panther (10.3.2) on an 8600/G4 using Xpostfacto a11. I get
this is the logs regularly even when I'm not doing anything in
particular. Everything can be closed (except for the Finder).
