I really wonder how much of a concern that is. Although this list is
probably an exception due to its nature, most people don't necessarily
run the latest OS possible on their system if it's a bit old. Apple
continued supporting 68k through three semi-major revisions (7.0, 7.5,
8.0) after PPC came out so I'd not worry too much about current OSes.
I'd personally worry more about applications. Even if you have a PPC OS
running, what happens when some percentage of major apps and lots of
free/shareware apps are Intel-only? Granted it's not hard to make them
fat/universal/whatever but will they be?
