yes - LiveCode Create Kill switch - not good.
"If your license lapses, your apps will ... not continue to run."

> I can no longer use LC10 but Create does have a classic mode.

try -
https://downloads.livecode.com/livecode/

and request LC10 in your account if necessary.

> Does this mean apps created in Classic Create
> also stop working if the license is not renewed?

good question. likewise for LC10.

Create license allows Classic Kill switch -

"2.3 ... Any purchase of LiveCode Create automatically
applies this EULA to ... LiveCode Classic."

but is Kill switch tech lurking in Classic?
strong precedent in Classic license -

"2g) Where the LiveCode Software has been purchased on
a monthly subscription, Created Software will only
operate while the subscription is current."

toxic!

I think convincing resolution would need guarantee in EULA
that Create and LC10 Apps do not require licensing to run,
do not use a connection to check their licensing,
and no Kill switch tech in code as verified independently at __.

Best wishes,

Curry K.
