Another speed up - use the peroperties/render settings tab - goto misc
tab, and use:
Geometry quality = low
Turn off caustics, automatic brightness scaling, and play with memory
usage to "use sparingly" unless you have bulk spare ;)
Worthwhile doing box renders of a portion of image, and comparing times
for each to find the most beneficial gains.
