I haven't experienced anything bad regarding its responsiveness as compared to versino 2.4. This is on two different machines, on is a new dual core machine with 4 GB ram and the other is an older 1.9GHz machine with 1 GB RAM. In fact, OOO 3.x is an improvement over the previous version. It has more features, tremendous improvements in collaboration features and slight progress in outline mode as well, to name just a few. With all the new stuff, it is a bit slower to start up, I don't think that is such a terrible thing, however, from what I hear, developers are working on this and the new version will be a huge improvement in this respect as well, among other things. Now, till you actually give some specifics, I am inclined to think you are a troll working just to put some matter showing negative points regarding OOo to be found in future google search by some people. -- Please reply to this list only.
