Of course. I'd have a lot of personal experiences to prove this same
point. However, I didn't mean to start a discussion or a collection of
examples on this, to not go way off topic. I just wanted to point out
that the case where only proprietary software is tolerated or allowed
to exist is still the norm in most real world cases, and listed some
of the reasons for it. Regardless of their truth, or lack thereof.
