OpenOffice was a product called StarWriter before Microsoft Word was available.

One law firm indicated that you violate their copyright if you view the HTML source on their web page. The point is that a lawyer might at any time declare that anything is a copyright violation. Microsoft has been saying for years that certain people violate their patents, but have refused to say how or why. You just never know.

Microsoft is frequently taken to court for patent violation, real, or imaginary.
