I'm not 100% sure I understand what you want so let me say what I think you want and then you can tell me if I'm wrong - I won't get offended ;-) I think you want to subscribe to [email protected] but read and send to the list via gmane.comp.openoffice.general without getting e-mails to the subscribed address. If that's right then, within your *e-mail* program, create a filter that automatically deletes any and all mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] I don't know what e-mail program you use but both Outlook Express and Thunderbird (I use both) let you create such filters very easily; Thunderbird calls them filters whereas Outlook Express calls them rules. Alternatively, get yourself a free address from Googlemail which you can access via a web browser. Tell your news reader about that addresss. Subscribe it and confirm the subscription. Then, using the web browser, create that same filter. I know googlemail lets you do that - I use it a lot. A second filter could delete any and all messages to the address itself so you won't accumulate spam which you would otherwise because you *never* send/receive e-mail from/to that address. Others may have better schemes... HTH -- Harold Fuchs London, England Please reply *only* to [email protected]
