That it itself should be good enough reason to choose Ubuntu :)

I first started to use Red Hat 8. When they came out with Fedora, I tried Debian. Never went back to RPM based distro. Debian uses apt, I have not seen any other package management system which is as solid and dependable! Then came along Ubuntu (it is based on Debain) -- and it was great!
