Because a reply-to header supercedes the 'from' header when making 
the reply - it's the way for the originator to redirect replies to an 
address of his choosing.

The OOo list software uses reply-to to make sure replies go to the 
list - so a 'reply all' does just that. The from address is ignored 
as above - which is reasonable /except/ in the case of a non-
subscribed user.

Another reason for not allowing unsubscribed users to mail the list.
