I have two observations regarding this article (apart from it being six
years old).

Firstly, who or what is the organization "Americans for Customary Weight and
Measure". They do not appear to have a website.

Secondly, the British newspaper cited by the article was "The Sun" - not
usually regarded for its intellectual coverage, but better known for its
Page 3 review which is often accompanied by measurements such as 36 inches,
24 inches followed again by 36 inches (and never in centimeters). I leave
the US readers to guess the nature of this review - the UK readers know what
I am talking about.
