Dear Pat,

I found that reference, but very little else. I did a quick search on each
of the three named office holders and discovered that their president Seaver
Leslie comes from a small town and was recently married. I discovered
little else about either the society or their office bearers as either they
don't do anything or they are very secretive.

Regards

Martin

I have two observations regarding this article (apart from it being six

years old).

Firstly, who or what is the organization "Americans for Customary Weight and

Measure". They do not appear to have a website.

Dear Martin,

You might understand who 'Americans for Customary Weight and Measure' are if
you see that they are affiliated with the British Weights and Measures
Association (BWMA). See: http://www.bwmaonline.com/ACWM.htm

The article at
http://www.fee.org/publications/the-freeman/article.asp?aid=3485 is exactly
the same.
