I posted that URL as an an example of the material many people in the U.S. are
exposed to and may end up believing by osmosis. Right now, the idea of a
"foreign measurement system being shoved down our throats" is still a common
notion among Americans. We need to raise the people's appreciation of SI as the
nation's legal-to-use and preferred system of measurement.
