I am looking into getting a laptop to do schoolwork on and I would like to
put linux on it (probably as the only operating system). I have heard this
can be a little more tricky than putting it on a desktop (which, the last
time I did it, practically did everything for me).
What should I look for in a laptop (especially so that I can put linux on
it and it will run well)? Dell has been recommended to me by a number of
people. Where can I find a good deal? I guess I also need to know a
little about wireless cards as well. What kinds work well with linux and
the various BYU wireless networks (or does it not really matter)?
