I don't know, I've installed Windows 2000 twice in the past year, and Linux about 4 times (redhat and mandrake). Overall I spent more time and hassle on the two Windows installs then I spent on the 4 Linux installs combined, if you count time spent downloading and installing updates and drivers for both systems. Not to mention the extra software I had to download and/or install for windows once I got through with the OS. Everything just worked with the included drivers for Linux.
I love how with open source you can just distribute everything on the installation CD's: drivers, office suite, web server, everything.
