Yup.  And I stand by my statement.  Windows XP, 2000, 98, you name it. 
Net card isn't be recognized no matter what I do in win2000.  probably
need to reinstall windows.  Boot into linux.  Yep.  It just works.  Sure
you might have to tweak /etc/modules.conf or manually load a driver with
modprobe.  Compared to the pain and hassle of removing and resinstalling
device drivers in win2k through their wizard interface (not to mention
diggin through WINNT\INF to remove inf files to force windows to look in
the right places, what I do in Linux is a breeze.  Let me qualify my
general statement:  For standard run-of-the-mill hardware (video,
ethernet, hard drive, usb devices such as disks, mice, firewire drives,
sound cards (say a nice standard one like sblive or some of well-done
on-board chipsets) things do just work.  For some of the weirder
hardware (newer hardware), yeah, you may have problems.  MS has done a
lot of good things to make it easier to use hardware, that much I will
give you.  And it's better now with XP than it ever was before.
