Maybe i^H err 'my friend' is the only person who would like something like this, but i doubt it. If nothing else it would let people easily flag the announcements and filter them differently from the rest of the email.
Are you aware of the alerts on the website? If you sign up for the announcements alert then every time an announcement is posted on the website, you will receive an email about it.
We could perhaps do a little better job of posting the events about
everything, but in principle, what you asked for already exists
