Even though I agreed with most of what she said (we shouldn't have gone into
Iraq, etc), it was her presentation that was embarrassing.  It seriously
showed a complete lack of understanding that BYU is a totally different
university environment than any other in the U.S., and that her remarks
needed to be tailored to the audience, which they weren't.  In the long run,
she did more to hurt her cause because her presentation was so bad it made
it very easy for BYU students to dismiss her -- and her peers -- as "those
left-biased media people" we hear so much about from the right-biased media
people.
