Anyone know how good native Linux support is? Does it support 3d

Since they were just released today, I doubt anyone knows.

I've always found it somewhat humorous that people buy Apple laptops purely to run Linux. Buying an Apple machine purely to run Linux is like buying a Maserati and putting in a home-built block V8, or ripping out the Italian Leather seats to put in crocheted bench seats. The only thing sillier is buying an Apple laptop to run Windows. That's like taking your Maserati and putting in the interior of a Ford Pinto and the engine of a Geo. :)

As fun as it would be to see this continue to digress into a "Linux sucks, OS X rules" or "Linux rocks, OS X sucks" flamewar, the point I was trying to make is that buying an Apple computer is usually about the complete experience (i.e. cool hardware, cool software, each designed for the other and working well together) as is buying a fine and very expensive Maserati. Take out the sweet engine or the nice interior and it's just not the same experience. Same with an Apple computer running Linux or some other OS. You don't get native 3d support, maybe the wireless is flaky, and perhaps you can't use all the modes of the video card, plus other cool parts of the computer just do nothing (sudden motion sensor, etc). Plus you don't get to use the iLife apps that come bundled with your system. This is all fine, if that is what you want to do. Some people like to buy things just to take them apart. To each his own. Which is why I said that "I've always found it somewhat humorous". And the crack at Windows, well, that was mostly for fun. :)
