I wonder how many people actually sign up for the newbies list ONLY.... I
imagine even most newbies (and I consider myself somewhat of a newbie)
subscribe to both lists as do most other UUGers. I have never seen anyone
mock or make fun of a simpler question on the main list and the benefits for
newbies of reading the discussions about higher level topics helps me to
become more of an oldbie. Also, how often do we get duplicate emails because
the same messages are sent to both lists like club announcements, etc. I
figure, if we just treat the newbies nice, having a second list is
redundant.

Oh, and one other thing...I can't believe Topher won...I voted for the other
guy! ;)
