Here is a direct link to the Student Use Agreement directly on Microsoft's MSDNAA page:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/academic/bb250622.aspx The wording is slightly different. It says "When you are no longer taking credit courses in the member school, you may no longer obtain MSDNAA software. However, you may continue to use previously installed products on your computer, provided you continue to follow MSDNAA program guidelines". Microsoft WANTS you to keep your computer up to date. It is done automatically by the software, not through any action on my part. To not let you get updates the moment you leave school serves no purpose for Microsoft and the fact that the updates continue to work like they do for all Microsoft software seems to bear that out. I believe when it refers to updates in Andrew's quote below, they are talking about MSDNAA, not updates to previously downloaded software. In other words, you can no longer have access to MSDNAA once you are no longer a student. Again, I would add that the logistical as well as programming headache that would be involved in creating versions that check if people are students serve no purpose, especially if it is just for receiving updates. Doesn't that make common sense?
