Yes, that's true: both 68K Macs and Pismos use PRAM batteries.

But if you own both a Pismo and, say, a compact Mac like a Classic, you're 
familiar with the different form factor that each respective battery takes.
The PRAM battery for a Pismo not only has a completely different size and shape 
than the one for a Classic, but also has its own distinctive connector. 

That difference in form factor is what caused me to suggest he post to the 
G-Books list instead.  Here, for instance:

...is a step-by-step guide to making a Pismo PRAM battery.  Unfortunately, the 
battery constructed in that guide won't work for your LC, which uses this 
particular PRAM battery:

Does my suggestion make more sense now?
