I've got a Mac Plus with 4MB of RAM, and an external floppy. I'm currently using an HD with it, but would like to see if I can get it up and running with only floppies. So far, I've managed to get it up and running, with Internet access with:
- System 6.0.8 minimum install - Asante EN/SC Drivers - MacTCP 1.1.1 My ideal minimum setup, on a single 800kb disc, would be: - AppleTalk/AppleShare - so I can talk to my other Classic Macs - Asante EN/SC Drivers - for Ethernet - MacTCP - For TCP/IP - LaserWriter driver - so I can print stuff I did some hunting on System 6 Heaven, and the examples for a pure floppy system revolve around 6.0.5, not 6.0.8. Can anyone suggest why? Does System 6.0.5 have a smaller footprint than 6.0.8? Better yet, can someone recommend how to cram the above ideal setup onto a 800kb disc, using any System? Thanks for any input! -Patrick --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Vintage Macs group.
