I have two SIMMs installed. I turned off the machine and took them both out and started again and it did the exact same thing. Turned it off and reinstalled the SIMMs, turned it on and nada, same thing happened. Getting frustrateing.

I'm using a PC monitor with a device that plugs into the comp and also takes the lead from the monitor with a dozen dip switches on it. I got that straightened out a few months ago and it worked OK for a while. When the drive starts spinning, do you here any other little noises? Most hard drives have a little noise they make when they start up. It is hard to describe in words, but I will attempt it. It should sound something like: dut dut dut dut duuuuuuhhhh dirrrrrrr dut Basically, it's 4-5 litle noises, two longer noises, then a short one again. If there's a good system folder on the HD, then Happy Mac should appear on the screen about 2-3 seconds after you here this little start up noise. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Vintage Macs group.
