~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I now volunteer for Mac Renewal in Oregon which both recycles and "gifts" older Macs and PCs. I keep the Compacts. Even tho' I've got a pile in So. Cal. My SE/30's got an ethernet card and 32MB of RAM. I like showing visitors how it emails and websurfs. I fixed up two Quadra 605s so they each have a 64MB RAM stick, an LC ethernet card, a two GIG hard drive, and one runs O.S. 7.6.1 and the other runs O.S. 8.1. I've just refurbed 16 G3s for kids and classes. I still find them to be great for Internetting. Even the 233mhz. ones have enough oomph on DSL for research. I use an iMac 233 to handle odd jobs at my workstation and a 4400 with a G3/300mhz. cache accelerator and a QuickTake 150 camera for eBaying in the upstairs hall. We place and use a lot of computers many think are unusable. Jeff G Facere Compositio Ex Congeries __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
