The only things in a Mac since the B&W G3 that aren't
directly from the PC parts bin are the CPU, firewire
ports, whatever "magic" that flips the bytes between
big and little endian as they go to and fro from the
PCI bus, and the fancy case designs. Since the OS
hasn't had a big chunk stashed in physical ROM, that's
no longer a part of the computer itself. (Which is why
PearPC doesn't need a ROM image to run OSX.)

The rest of the important bits, PCI, IDE, USB, AGP
and a few other alphabet soup items weren't invented
at Apple. Macintosh hardware has been a PC in a
plastic case with a different CPU for years.

So Apple's finally decided to toss the last piece
that could be pointed to and claim "Not a PC!".

What're you gonna do about it? NOT buy one and thus
help your favorite computer company lose money?

It will be total Fandemonium!
