From my experience, you don't need to find anything when the new message is pulled up on your screen, just do a two finger swipe up and it'll start reading from the beginning of the message. Note this doesn't work if the beginning of the message doesn't appear on the first screen, such as when you have a very long list of recipients. This doesn't have anything to do with containers. I think it's just a tweak built into VoiceOver for the Mail app. I prefer this behavior, since I seldom want to automatically read the headers.

This new mail interface sounds like it'll be confusing. Right now, I
like being able to find the person's name, then do a two-finger flick up
to read the message content. For some reason that I don't understand,
this behaves differently in the mail app than anywhere else in iOS. This
gesture is supposed to read the entire screen, but when done in the mail
app once on the person's name, it skips the header information and just
reads the message. Not that I'm complaining about that or anything; it's
just odd. Maybe it has something to do with these container things in
iOS? I don't have that setting in my rotor, but maybe it still counts as
a container even if that option isn't on your rotor. Anyway, I think I'm
going to find this new mail interface rather annoying. I'm going to read
Jonathan Mosen's iOS 10 Without the Eye first before updating, as well
as listen to the podcasts released by AppleVis.

I believe you will be able to turn off the conversation threading in
iOS 10.

There's an article on the Cool Blind Tech website about what's new
in incoming iOS 10. Amongst other things, it says message view in
Mail app is not separated by message as it was till now. Now it is
more like conversation view similar to text and iMessages and
there is a new option in rotor called "message" which will enable
you to switch between messages in conversation.

I'm not sure will I like this or not, I like clean separate
messages and that's why I don't use Gmail app. I don't even like
threads and I'm using it only for some mail groups I'm subscribed to.

@Sieghard; I was mentioning iOS meaning iPhone, iPod Touch

@Mary; I like the stock app very much but there's gonna be
a large turnaround in iOS 10 with its interface so I'm
looking for alternatives. I used Aquamail on some Android
devices and I like its options, features and tones of
settings for fine tuning its operativity.

I agree Android approach to navigating and editing is
harder to handle than iOS but as you correctly said, it
doesn't have to do anything with the app itself. Regarding
dictation, I'm getting far better results with Google
Speech Input or whatever is it called in English than Siri
Dictation, atleast for my native language.

I can manage multiple messages on both apps in pretty
similar way so I don't know did you played with Aquamail
            settins?

@Carol; glad you understand my needs xD.

in general. I like the fact that I can easily stop dictation in iOS. I like the
fact that I get a tone telling me that dictation has stopped. I don't get that
with android, except when doing Google voice searches. I also find it easier to
get around in the text and make corrections. I realize that this is not

that's my two cents.

Apple client does. That's why am curious why you like it.
