Hi David,
I upgraded via iTunes and I have rebooted my phone several times since, emptied the app switcher and I have now realized that the custom labeling does seem to be problematic in some situations. I was, for example, not able to label the "Previous", Play/Pause" and "Next" buttons in the Sonos multi-room music app. The custom label dialogue comes up, I can delete the existing label which is just a few weird greater than and vertical bar synbols and type in Play/Pause, but when I save it it has no effect. I tried it about 6 times since in some other cases the labels did finally take effect after a second or third attempt. Since at least 3 or 4 other people have had problems with this I must assume that this is not coincidence especially since I was able to label these buttons in the Sonos app without any problems before. I encourage everyone who is having this problem to reboot your iOS device by fully shutting down and then restarting it. Upgrading can cause memory artefacts which will clear when you fully restart the device. For me, the problems were: screen curtain not functioning even though it said it was, and two-finger double-tap did not work to end a call. I think it's because for some reason the button graphics changes and then the label is not applied, I found if I do it often enough it sticks. One example where it was the other way around was with the One Touch Camera, One Touch Voice Memo and One Touch Video apps. When I first installed them their icons just read Camera, Voice Memo and Video just like the iPhone stock apps. So I thought this is an easy fix and I relabeled them except that then suddenly my stock Camera app and Voice Memo app were also called One Touch Camera and One Touch Voice Memo. I subsequently deleted the One Touch apps since I found I wasn't really using them and after I upgraded yesterday suddenly my stock apps were once again labeled One Touch Camera and One Touch Voice Memo. I brought up the custom labeler and deleted the "One Touch" part, tapped save and once again it was still read as "One Touch Camera". So I did it again and then again and finally after I think the third time or maybe even the fourth the change took and now it's back to just Camera and Voice Memos.
