The 6 S will not work with it?

Till we speak again,
may the warm winds of Heaven
blow softly upon your house,
may the great spirit bless all who enter there,
may your moccasins make happy tracks in many snows,
And may the rainbow always touch your shoulder.

I also use the Wayaround system. Sieghard, the 2 hole buttons are just
like the ones you find on a shirt and can be sown on, but do not know if
they are clear or black in color. All buttons can be washed and dried
without a problem.
Since I do not sew, I use the one hole button and I use a safety pin to
pin the button to my shirts and clothes. To help quickly find them on my
shirts, I pin mine at the bottom of my shirts on the side along the seam.
All Wayaround tags are about $1 US a piece. But since they can be reused,
they can last for a long time.
As far as scanning, it uses the NFC chip in your phone, so I would say
once you put your phone close to the button, it only takes a second or two
to pop up the results.
So the WayLink does make scanning a tag even faster. To scan with just
your phone:
After opening the app, you must first double tap the read button, then
hold the phone close to the button. Then it will announce the results.
So if you have several things you want to look at, after opening the app,
you just have to double tap the read button each time you hold the phone
close to a button. This is a restriction of Apple and how they must access
the NFC chip.
The WayAround link device is always in read mode, so as soon as you hold
the device close to a tag, it automatically tells you the result. Now the
WayLink device is bluetoothed to your phone, so the result still comes out
of your phone and is spoken by voice over.

I hope all of this has been helpful.

I have wanted to try this, but I’m still on an iPhone 6S, so my phone
does not have whatever the name is for the near field sensor that would
allow me to just hold the phone up to the tags. There are a number of
podcasts and videos on the product and I get the sense that you could
contact the Way Around people with your questions. It’s still a small
company.

    Hi,

I received an email newsletter from AT Guys today and this labelling
system was mentioned. Has anybody used it? I am curious as to how large the
buttons are they mention and whether they can be used to replace say a
regular shirt button.

Braille labels are still the best for some things and after having
received my expensive little LoganTech 6-Dot labeler I must say that I’m
very impressed, but for other things a system like WayAround with its
corresponding app is better since you can record a lot more information. I
really like the idea of using the iPhone which is almost always with me and
considering the cost of say the Pen Friend compared to this and the
versatility of WayAround versus the Pen Friend it is pretty tempting.

    Best regards,

    Sieghard
