Hi. I am not an expert on creating Siri shortcuts but I wanted to see if Ring
offered any support for them. I went through Siri settings as well as the
Shortcuts app but I don't see Ring as being one of the supported apps. I will
suggest this to them as a feature enhancement as I think that it would benefit
their sighted as well as their visually impaired iOS users.

Holly, your assistance has been very helpful. First, I went into Ring
notification settings and set the banner to "persistent", allowing the
notification to remain once it appears. Once I double-tapped on the
notification informing me that someone was at the door I was able to locate the
buttons for answering a call and for ending a call. In my case, I was able to
locate the buttons by swiping. However, it placed my phone in landscape mode
during this process, which I found to be annoying as well as unnecessary.
Someone else wrote to me and felt that an option to answer the call should be
available if you swipe down from the notification and I absolutely agree with
this. I plan to communicate these suggestions to Ring and I would ask that
other Ring customers consider doing the same so that they're not just hearing
this from one user. Their app also has several unlabeled buttons and they
should, for the benefit of new users, label their menu button so that it
doesn't announce as "hamburger."

David was thinking that it would be a wonderful thing if there was a Siri
shortcut that would allow you to go directly to the talk button in the ring
app, instead of opening the app and trying to locate the answer call button
that lets you talk to the person at the door.

By the time you open the app, find the button and talk, the people are probably
already gone.

If you had a Siri shortcut, you could just say 'Siri, talk to the front door,
or whatever, like you can with the echo spot.

That would save a lot of time.
