Personally I find iPads rather useless, we have one at home which my sighted
wife uses and I have one at work and each time I use it for a little thing here
and there I think the big screen is just a pain in the neck. Once again, this
my personal opinion, but I think if you had an ipad several years ago and got
rid of it then getting another won't give you a different experience. I'll
reach for my iPhone every time and of course when it comes to doing serious and
prolonged work like answereing emails, more complicated web browsing and such
give me my computer, please as I still find doing that with Jaws and Edge or
Chrome and, in the case of emails, Outlook, is way more efficient. I have
recently switched to browser based online point of sale (Lightspeed Retail) and
accounting systems (QuickBooks Online) and while the iOS QuickBooks app has its
merrits, most of the time working in these environments with a computer is way
better. Therefore my suggestion is that you are better of with your iPad and if
your laptop isn't up to snuff any more then spend the money you would spend on
an iPad on a decent computer.

Subject: Considering purchasing an iPad

Hello everyone,

I am considering purchasing an iPad. I am trying to decide it is really what I
want to do. I had an iPad Mini, several years ago. I can do a lot on my phone,
and I use it all the time.

However, sometimes I don't want to have to use my phone all the time. I still
enjoy using my laptop. So I am just trying to decide what I should do.

My first question is this.

When using the iPad, is the screen still set up in columns?

If so, is there still not a way to turn this off?

That was one of my biggest complaints with the iPad before.

Also, are there bluetooth keyboard cases out now, for the iPad Mini?

If I do decide to make this purchase, I will likely go with the Mini.

Thank you,

Terri
