Margaret You shouldn't power it off every time your done using it is meant to be on. You could've used touch id to install that free app.

I THINK I could use Touch ID the other day when I installed a free app from the App Store and did not have to type my Apple ID but it wasn't a good day and my memory may not be correct. I don't want to get rid of the Pass Code entirely; having it helped with some mishap I had. I just would prefer not to have to type it in every time I use the phone.
