Hi Ricardo, You can't really compare doing a sync via WiFi and an icloud backup since iTunes WiFi sync is just that, a sync whereas an iTunes backup is a backup.
I also agree that both the iCloud backup and iTunes backup, especially the encrypted backup, have their purpose. If I really have to do a restore and I am at home or have my laptop along, then I much prefer to restore from my encrypted backup since I backs up all passwords as well. A lot of times I charge my iPhone by connecting it to my laptop in which case it's already connected to iTunes, all I have to do is open the application, go to my Device, tab to Encript Backup, enter my password and about 15 or 20 seconds later it's done. To me this is easy and far from inconvenient and well worth the effort should something go wrong and I have to restore.
