It appears you're merely replying to other's posts and didn't read the 
article or even the little bit of information I copied and posted. <Smile>.

It is the 64bit processor that has made touch ID possible. NO 64bit 
processor, no touch ID. Like Alan stated, this will also open the door to 
other innovations including more headroom for future IOS features.

really don't get the point of it.
I've come across more than one article saying that this is just marketing 
and won't make a bit of difference in performance.
