Dawn,

The blurry pictures will count toward the credits. The reason for it is 
because the image was sent to us, then identified by us, and then sent back 
to your phone. The reason that "Failed to send" or "timed out" won't count 
is because those pictures never reach our service, so we never get to 
identify them.

To your second post, we will look into it as something for the future. A 
few other people have also suggested it. We'll see if it's possible to add 
that feature in without ruining the user experience.
