They had time to fix bugs. It was prior to the release. But, just for curiosity's sake. How long will you give them to "fix" these bugs?

Negative!! How about giving them time to fix bugs?? 7.0 was buggy when released, but is good with 7.1.2. So your statement about them never fixing things is absolutely false. It is a flat out lie, only serving the purpose of unnecessary Apple bashing. Get your facts right before spreading them around. --- Be positive! I 'm not surprised with the bugs in the new ios8. I expected this. apple in recent times has been to ignore the beta testrs and each time it will be worse ... We will never use iphone with responsibility on the part of the apple. apple will never take responsibility to solve old problems and new ... we wait months and years and never will solve ... cheers. One other resource that I haven't seen mentioned yet is AppleVis.com. I'm not affiliated with them in any way, but I tend to find their information extremely well written. I understand that they will be releasing a number of free resources and guides tomorrow to outline the major new changes and bugs. I would definitely keep an eye on www.applevis.com as well as this list for more information. Grant On Sep 13, 2014, at 1:55 PM, Lynn Schneider <canepri...@gmail.com> wrote: Wow, what a shame. I was so excited about iOS eight and even getting a new phone, but with what you are saying, it seems I shouldn't do either, at least for a while. Thanks so much for the heads up. Then again, who knows, I may go for it anyway but at this moment I am of the opinion that I need the newer phone first. Which one, I don't know, screen size is of no matter to me but camera stability is, since I have to use the phone to identify a lot now. -----Original Message----- From: viphone@googlegroups.com [mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of John Diakogeorgiou Sent: Saturday, September 13, 2014 8:49 AM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: Re: overview of accessibility features in iOS 8 Are you willing to comment as to whether version 8 is not very usable with these bugs or not? I'm one of these who wants to install new things asap regardless of the consequences. However, if it is so buggy that it's hard to use then I won't. The problems which people complained about last year didn't bother me to much if that says anything. I have been running the iOS 8 Beta since June and as far as I can tell Apple has listened to hardly any of the feedback and bug reports provided by blind beta testers. There have been 5 Beta versions and now the Goldmaster and almost all of the most serious and annoying bugs are still there. I hope that they react faster once the public release happens next Wednesday and hopefully blind people start flooding Apple Accessibility with emails and phone calls about these issues. I will post a list of the 5 or so bugs which bug me the most and which I know other beta testers have reported as soon as the iOS 8 update comes out. Anybody who wants to read about them just look for a post on Wednesday, September 17 with subject "The top 5 most annoying bugs in iOS 8 with Voiceover". What bothers me is that a few of these issues are not specifically accessibility related and they don't happen if Voiceover is not running but as soon as Voiceover is on you suddenly are plagued by this and that.
