Yupp, that's what gives me the biggest head-ache. Everything seems to
work just A-OK. The devices are there, ifconfig shows all 4 of them,
asterisk shows the channels and the interfaces and * dials exactly in
the manner the extensions.conf tells it to.
Also the LEDs show a red indication which would be "enabled port with
active layer1".
But then I get that
q931 visdn1.0:TEI[0]: DLC is disconnected, requesting connection
q931 visdn1.0:TEI[0]: DLC is awaiting connection: message queued

and the systems hangs itself big time.

Another funny thing ist that I get the proper indications only when my
"old" PBX (Tenovis Integral) is also connected to the NT(BA). So either
the 4S-card isn't able to get a TEI assigned, or the NT(BA) simply tries
to assign in a way the card won't understand. BUT, I get a system freeze
also when I simply disconnct the line by unplugging the cable.

And I can't imagine that the line is too weak or something. The "old"
PBX seems not to have any problems with the line, nor has a ISDN-phone
connected directly to the NT(BA).

I'm not too much into the protocols of the ISDN-line itself. I'd call my
knowledge rather basic in that field and most of my assumptions are
based on what I read here or there.

That's the point: till now I couldn't find anything in the log files.
The system seems to freeze instantanously, no time to write to any log.
